Where do your ideas come from?

I've never had a light bulb moment, my concepts usually develop from a collection of thoughts built up over weeks or months. I prefer to sit on an idea and make sure it's as strong as possible before I commit any time to bringing it to life. I look for contradictions and irony - they tend to bring out humour in photos.

I'm most creative when I'm out and about, I've never had a good idea while sat in my living room. 

How long does each photo take?

Getting the photos together for a concept is fairly painless as long as:

1) You can work out how to match the direction and type of light in all shots

2) You can get the same perspective for all shots

3) The weather behaves

4) The postman delivers the props.

With the edit I can normally wrap things up in a day if I've done all the right stuff in the shoot. Getting 1 & 2 right saves a lot of editing frustration.
